We booked into the campsite on August 20th, and have nothing wrong to say about the campsite or the staff and owners. Sure, they help you to your site, have you ever watched some people trying to back in and get settled--- they need help. They were very diligent about making sure each site was clean and ready for the next guests. We had no mosquitoes, but unfortunately after 4 days we had to leave because of the wildfire smoke, ----no fault of the owners !! This is their first year, give them a break,--- after decades of campsites that we would never return to, ---- this is one we will go back to. The only downside is on the website, it shows as though the camp is on the lake, and it's not.
Told him we were getting around and would leave but he kept harassing us threatening to call the sheriff unless we left early and now.
Thank you to Phil and Mary for helping us get settled in this beautiful park. They were very kind and funny! We parked our RV at H4 which was a very level site and the beautiful Lake and snow covered mountains were visible through the trees. The gophers were fun to watch and are not shy in attempting to steal your food. The bathrooms were closed near our site, so it was a walk to get to the bathrooms. We watched beautiful fireworks on July 4 over Diamond Lake. Make sure you bring TONS of bug spray. I live in Florida and have never experienced mosquitos like the ones here. Even a campfire didn't keep keep off of us. Easy drive to Crater Lake.
Lovely forest location near lake. Basic campground.
Do NOT stay here. Very rude staff! Passive aggressive and arrogant. They will harass you from the second you drive on the property! Parking spaces are tiny and unkempt. Refuse to give refunds for any reason. Gave them a 2nd chance. There will be no 3rd. The camp grounds across the way are 5 star and much cheaper!
Horrible mosquito infestation, all day. Large mosquitoes!
We were unable to enjoy outside activities, or even walk the dog without being tortured.
New owner Phil came pounding on our door at 8am angry as hell cause we reparked in opposite direction for our comfort.
Stayed in late July.
Did not use restrooms, so no comment.
Don't break any of their unpublished rules.
